For candidates

Your CV tells me what you did.
I want to know what you want.

Maybe you’re actively looking. Maybe something is just nagging at you. Either way, with me it starts with a conversation, not a form full of tick boxes.

Portret van Joey Hoogendijk

Honest, even when the answer is no.

I don’t always have a suitable vacancy for you right away. When that’s the case, I’ll simply tell you. I will think along about your next step, and I’ll call you when something comes up that genuinely suits you. Not every vacancy that happens to resemble your CV.

I’ve been in this field since 2009 and have also led teams myself for years, at Hertz and at INTO. So I know what a job interview feels like, and what it’s like when a new colleague turns out not to fit.

How it works in practice

Just a good conversation.

  • We call or meet. You tell me what gives you energy and what you’d rather leave behind.
  • I tell you honestly what I see: opportunities, and where you need to be realistic.
  • If a role fits, I first discuss with you which employer it is and why. Your CV never goes anywhere without your approval by email.
  • I prepare you for the interview and tell you what I know about the employer. Including the less shiny side.
  • After you start, I’ll call you. How is it really going?

Questions candidates often ask.

Does it cost me anything?

No. The employer pays for recruitment. In the Netherlands, recruiters are also not allowed to charge job seekers a fee.

What happens to my CV?

I only keep your CV in my mailbox and only share it with an employer once you’ve approved that by email. If the process stops, I delete it. Read more in the privacy policy.

I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for yet. Can I still call?

Especially then. A first conversation often helps you find direction. It’s not a promise of a vacancy, but it is an honest outside view.

My employer mustn’t know I’m looking around.

That stays between us. I share nothing about you without your permission.

Do you work with temporary contracts or agency work?

My focus is on permanent positions, where you’re employed directly by the employer.
