Biogas & renewable gas recruitment
Recruitment for the biogas sector,
by someone who works in it.
Since 2019, my company JOE Green has been trading feedstock for Dutch anaerobic digesters. I regularly talk to owners and operators of biogas plants. I use that knowledge when I recruit for this sector.
A small sector with a big challenge.
The number of digesters and green gas plants is growing, but the group of people who can run, maintain or further develop such a plant isn’t growing with it. People who already work in the sector rarely appear on job sites. You find them through the network, and through someone who knows what they’re talking about.
I know what a stable digestion process requires, why the composition of the feedstock matters and what it means when a plant goes down. That lets me question candidates on substance and help employers think through what a role really demands.

Working in biogas or green gas?

Frequently asked questions.
What’s the link between JOE Green and JOE Recruitment?
I founded both. JOE Green trades feedstock for biogas plants, JOE Recruitment does recruitment and selection. I bring my knowledge of the sector into my recruitment work.
Do you also recruit outside the Netherlands?
My focus is on positions in the Netherlands. Through JOE Green I do have contacts in the sector elsewhere in Europe.
I have no experience in biogas. Is it worth calling?
Definitely, if your background is in process technology, maintenance, agricultural management or energy. Much of that knowledge transfers well.
